Visual artist born in Bahia-Brazil, Neyde Lantyer lives and works in Amsterdam and has exhibited her artwork in Brazil, Holland and other countries.
Before attending the Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal da Bahia, Neyde studied Social Work and Journalism and worked for a number of enterprises and institutions as well as in social development programs for the Brazilian Government.
In Holland, she takes active role in art projects and art organizations.
Besides her own projects around photography, film (currently she is making a documentary) and other media, she works as photo-restaurateur, teaches contemporary photography and, frequently, acts as curator and art director in several projects.
She is the artistic director of A Hora do Brasil Foundation, that promotes Brazilian art and culture in Holland since 2005.
Being a Visual Artist with a representative body of work in photography, Neyde Lantyer is constantly experiencing with other medias such as installations, objects, text, and film.  
A search for traces of the past, memory, love and belonging are amongst the range of emotional states in her work, which frequently involves issues like feminism, identity and society.
